Beginners Quilt Class – 2 Days
Over this two day workshop Tracy will be guiding you through your very first steps into Patchwork and Quilt making. During this course you will be guided through the entire process of quilt making; from fabric preparation, accurate cutting, quilt design and layout, piecing and precision piecing on day one. To learning how to put together your first quilt sandwich for quilting, beginners guide to walking foot quilting and then the trimming and finally binding to complete your project. This class is suitable for total beginners looking to take their first steps into the quilting world, as well as other more experienced sewers who may simply be looking to apply their skills in a new way.
There will be two different layout and size options available for this class a Baby Quilt (approx. 40”x45”) or a Lap Quilt (approx. 50”x 50”). The steps to complete both sizes are the same however fabric requirements vary (see below).

- 5 x Fat Quarters
- 0.25m Border Fabric
- 0.25m Binding Fabric
- 1.5m Backing Fabric
- 1.5m Wadding
- Co-ordinating thread for Quilting
Lap Quilt Requirements
- 8 x Fat Quarters
- 0.5m Border Fabric
- 0.5m Binding Fabric
- 2m Backing Fabric
- 1.5m Wadding
- Co-ordinating thread for Quilting

In booking a place on one of our classes you confirm that you have read and agree to all terms and conditions set out below.
All workshops must be paid in full at time of booking in order to secure your place.
All bookings are non-refundable and non-cancellable. We will however, where we can, offer a store credit (redeemable on future classes or store goods) if you notify us no less than one calendar month before the scheduled workshop date. This store credit is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of issue. We are unable to make any exceptions to this policy, regardless of customer reason.
In order for a workshop to go ahead we require a minimum number of attendees due to the costs incurred by us in hiring tutors, purchasing class supplies/equipment etc... If for any reason the class is cancelled by us (due to unforeseen circumstances) we will offer you a full refund or a place on the class the next time it is scheduled. If you decide to move onto a future class our offer of a refund is withdrawn and these cancellation policies apply to the new booking (i.e. if you are subsequently unable to attend your new class date a refund does not apply).
