Quilted Christmas Placemat Workshop, Sunday 24th November 2025, 9.30am - 3.30pm

£75.00

Quilted Placemats

Add a handmade touch to your Christmas table this year! These quilted placemats are created using the quilt-as-you-go technique and are a perfect project for your festive table which can be used for many years to come.

Tracy will teach you everything from cutting, layout, quilting and the final binding to complete one placemat on the day.  There will also be an opportunity to explore the decorative stitches on the sewing machine to add a bit of extra Christmas sparkle.

You placemats don't have to be Christmas themed - these are perfect for your table all year round so feel free to bring along any fabric of your choosing. This class is a great skill builder for those looking to learn different quilting and finishing techniques which can be easily transferred to your other sewing projects.

Materials are NOT included in the class.

Fabric requirements

  • Insulated Wadding 0.5m (this will be enough to create 4 placemats, however we will only finish one on the day)
  • Backing Fabric 0.5m (as above)
  • Side Panels 0.25m
  • Selection of quilting cotton prints and solids – A project like this is great for using up left over pieces of fabric, however if you are new to quilting, we would suggest a minimum of 4 Fat Quarters or 8 Fat Eighths.
  • If you need any guidance in this area, please feel free to pop into the shop before the day of workshop for assistance.

Suitable for all levels.

Tutor: Tracy Westall-Reece

Class size: 10

Cancellation Policy

In booking a place on one of our classes you confirm that you have read and agree to all terms and conditions set out below.

All workshops must be paid in full at time of booking in order to secure your place.

All bookings are non-refundable and non-cancellable.  We will however, where we can, offer a store credit (redeemable on future classes or store goods) if you notify us no less than one calendar month before the scheduled workshop date. This store credit is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of issue. We are unable to make any exceptions to this policy, regardless of customer reason.

In order for a workshop to go ahead we require a minimum number of attendees due to the costs incurred by us in hiring tutors, purchasing class supplies/equipment etc...  If for any reason the class is cancelled by us (due to unforeseen circumstances) we will offer you a full refund or a place on the class the next time it is scheduled.  If you decide to move onto a future class our offer of a refund is withdrawn and these cancellation policies apply to the new booking (i.e. if you are subsequently unable to attend your new class date a refund does not apply).
