Lino Printing Workshop: Saturday 22nd June 2024 9.30am-3.30pm

£75.00
Join us on this mixed ability linoprinting workshop with Simon Clements.  Suitable for a complete beginner looking to get started in linoprinting or a more experienced artist looking for help with a current project.

For beginners, Simon will help you translate your chosen image into something suitable for linoprinting before taking you through all the techniques and tools required to cut your design.  Well have a selection of images for you to choose from if you don’t have something to bring along on the day.

For intermediate and advanced, come along with an existing project and Simon will be on hand to advise on the design and printing of your piece as you work.

Materials:  A piece of soft cut lino, paper and use of ink and cutting tools is included in the workshop fee.

Tutor: Simon Clements

Class size: 10

Simon studied Ceramics at Loughborough School of Art and Design... and worked as a pottery and art teacher in various schools and therapeutic centres before moving into the marine woodworking industry. Following this he took a post graduate course in Ornamental Woodcarving at City and Guilds of London School of Art. This led to heritage carving projects, public landscape art and private carved sculpture commissions. Simon teaches woodcarving and lino printing to individuals and small groups and has taught carving in Greece.

Cancellation Policy

In booking a place on one of our classes you confirm that you have read and agree to all terms and conditions set out below.

All workshops must be paid in full at time of booking in order to secure your place.

All bookings are non-refundable and non-cancellable.  We will however, where we can, offer a store credit (redeemable on future classes or store goods) if you notify us no less than one calendar month before the scheduled workshop date. This store credit is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of issue. We are unable to make any exceptions to this policy, regardless of customer reason.

In order for a workshop to go ahead we require a minimum number of attendees due to the costs incurred by us in hiring tutors, purchasing class supplies/equipment etc...  If for any reason the class is cancelled by us (due to unforeseen circumstances) we will offer you a full refund or a place on the class the next time it is scheduled.  If you decide to move onto a future class our offer of a refund is withdrawn and these cancellation policies apply to the new booking (i.e. if you are subsequently unable to attend your new class date a refund does not apply).
