Come and improve your Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) skills whilst working on this inspirational 'Stitch On' banner from Berene Campbell of @happysewlucky.
FPP involves taking pieces of fabric and sewing directly onto a paper template to create complex pictures in patchwork. Tracy will teach you all her tips and tricks for successful advanced piecing on this one day class.
This class includes a copy of the 'Stitch On' pattern from Happy Sew Lucky which will be emailed to you as a pdf after booking. Please print the pdf at 100% and cut out all the pattern pieces ahead of the class. This is a time consuming process and would take up too much of the day if we did it during the class.
Banner Size: 12" x 19.5"
Level: Intermediate (Suitable for those with some experience of foundation paper piecing looking to improve their skills.)
This class does NOT include materials. You will need to bring:
- Letter Fabric (Yellow): 3" x width of fabric (WOF)
- Banner Fabric (Pink): Fat Quarter (FQ) or 25cm x WOF
- Banner Back Fabric (Red): Fat Quarter (FQ) or 25cm x WOF
- Scissor Fabric (Pale Blue x 2): Fat Quarter (FQ) or 25cm x WOF
- Background Fabric (Cream): 75cm x WOF
- Backing Fabric: 13" x 21"
- Hanging Tabs Fabric (Pale Blue): 4.5" x 6"
- Fusible fleece 13" x 21"
- Wooden Dowel 3/16" diameter x 12"
- Butchers Twine 20"
Colours given in () are to help you identify the fabrics we have used in our sample so you can decide what you want to use in your own banner.
All the above can be purchased in our store on the day if needed.
Included in class cost:
- Tea/coffee
- Use of all necessary tools and equipment for the duration of the class.

In booking a place on one of our classes you confirm that you have read and agree to all terms and conditions set out below.
All workshops must be paid in full at time of booking in order to secure your place.
All bookings are non-refundable and non-cancellable. We will however, where we can, offer a store credit (redeemable on future classes or store goods) if you notify us no less than one calendar month before the scheduled workshop date. This store credit is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of issue. We are unable to make any exceptions to this policy, regardless of customer reason.
In order for a workshop to go ahead we require a minimum number of attendees due to the costs incurred by us in hiring tutors, purchasing class supplies/equipment etc... If for any reason the class is cancelled by us (due to unforeseen circumstances) we will offer you a full refund or a place on the class the next time it is scheduled. If you decide to move onto a future class our offer of a refund is withdrawn and these cancellation policies apply to the new booking (i.e. if you are subsequently unable to attend your new class date a refund does not apply).
